Company History

We have been collecting Maine art for over 20 years.  As our collection outgrew our available wall space, we realized that we needed to sell some of our works in order to make room for our latest acquisitions.  Although we started by selling pieces to our friends who had admired the works on our walls, we have now decided not only to sell our works via the web but also to help other collectors sell their works as well.

Kevin Tierney

Kevin established the website in 2007.  A former senior executive with UNUM Corporation in Portland, Maine, he brings his many years of business experience as well as his enthusiasm for art to this endeavor.

Wes LaFountain

Wes is a consultant to the website and brings his many years of experience in the art world to help provide the expertise that a number of our customers seek.  Wes is currently the director of the University of New Hampshire Museum of Art.

The Future

The website is continually evolving.  While our initial goal was completely focused on selling art, we are also starting to explore serving as an educational resource to collectors who are interested in Maine art.  We hope to accomplish this objective by adding works of art that are in private collections but are not for sale.  In this way, collectors will be able to view works that are not generally available to the public and will also be able to learn about artists with whom they are not familiar.  This evolution was inspired by one of our collectors, and we hope that many of you will submit images of works from your collections for the enjoyment and education of us all.
